Mr Green sister sites

The owner of Mr Green is evoke plc, which until 2024 was called 888 Holdings. Mr Green’s sister sites in Sweden are the 888 sites: 888casino, 888sport, 888poker and 888.se. According to the information we have, the group has no other Swedish brands, and the ownership picture is also about to change.
Mr Green therefore differs from the other large groups. Instead of a row of casinos each with its own licence, evoke’s Swedish business consists of two licence holders: Mr Green Limited with a single brand, and 888 Sweden Limited with several sites under the same licence. That difference decides how the bonus rule applies, which is why we spend the most time on it here.
Mr Green sister sites: brands in the same group
The table is based on decisions by Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority, about the two licence holders. We have not been able to confirm the licence numbers, so there we refer to the register.
| Brand | Licence holder | Licence number | Licence valid until | Shares licence with |
|---|---|---|---|---|

A decision by Spelinspektionen in December 2025 treats 888 Sweden Limited as the licence holder and names all four websites. We have not been able to check that all of them still accept Swedish players in October 2026, so check against the register before you register.
William Hill also belongs to the group, but we have not found any William Hill site with a Swedish licence. Anyone looking for casinos like Mr Green under the same ownership therefore in practice has the 888 sites to choose from.
Owner and background
Fredrik Sidfalk, Henrik Bergquist and Mikael Pawlo founded Mr Green in 2007. William Hill bought the company in January 2019, and in 2022 888 Holdings bought William Hill’s international business, which included Mr Green. In 2024 888 Holdings changed its name to evoke plc. The group is based in Gibraltar and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Mr Green and Betsson are sometimes mentioned in the same breath, but they are not sister sites. Today they are owned by completely different groups, and it is the owner and the licence holder that decide – not the history.
On 5 June 2026 evoke and Bally’s Intralot agreed on a takeover paid for in shares. The shareholders of both companies have approved it, but the deal is awaiting regulatory approvals and a court review and is expected to be completed between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027. Analysts have mentioned Mr Green as a possible divestment after the deal, but no sale has been announced.
Mr Green Limited received a warning and a financial penalty in a 2021 decision on money laundering and the duty of care. The penalty was reduced on appeal, and the decision became final in 2024; the sources give different amounts, so we do not state one. In April 2026 the company was placed under closer monitoring of how deposits are followed up, which is not a sanction. The full picture is on the page about the evoke casino group.
What they share and where they differ
Mr Green and the 888 sites share an owner but not a licence holder. That means separate customer accounts, separate terms and separate gambling limits. Between the 888 sites the situation is different: they have the same licence holder and therefore the same company on the other side, even though the sites are divided into casino, sport and poker.
- Mr Green: licensed for both online gambling and betting, customer service in Swedish via chat, phone and email, and its own responsible gambling programme, Green Gaming.
- The 888 sites: one licence holder for four websites, divided by type of gambling.
- Apps: Mr Green Poker is available in the Swedish App Store and on Google Play. We have not been able to confirm a Swedish casino app from Mr Green.
The bonus rule and Mr Green’s sister sites
Chapter 14, Section 9 of Spellagen (the Gambling Act) ties the bonus to the first occasion on which you play with a licence holder. It is the company holding the licence that counts – neither the brand nor the group.
For evoke this gives two completely different outcomes. Mr Green has its own licence holder and can therefore offer a welcome bonus even if you have already played at 888. Between 888casino, 888sport, 888poker and 888.se, however, a single shared welcome bonus should apply, because according to the decision by Spelinspektionen all four are run by 888 Sweden Limited. If you have received a bonus at one of them, you should not expect a new one at the others.
Mr Green itself has several offers for new players but only lets you choose one. The main offer is 100% up to 1,500 kr plus 100 free spins on Book of Dead, where the deposit must be wagered 25 times within 60 days. If you deposit 1,000 kr, that means playing for 25,000 kr. According to the terms, winnings from the free spins do not need to be wagered. Offer checked on 15 October 2026. Terms and conditions apply.
Spelpaus and limits at the sister sites
Spelpaus, the national self-exclusion register, applies to every gambling company with a Swedish licence and therefore covers both Mr Green and all the 888 sites. You can exclude yourself for 10 days, 1, 3 or 6 months, or until further notice, and the exclusion cannot be cut short.
An exclusion through Mr Green’s own feature applies at Mr Green Limited. Since the 888 sites share a licence holder, it is reasonable to assume that an exclusion there covers all of 888 Sweden Limited, but check this in the terms. If you want to be sure that every site is covered, Spelpaus is the simple choice. How the register works step by step is described in our guide to Spelpaus and self-exclusion.
You set your deposit limit per day, week and month with each licence holder. If you raise a limit, it applies after 72 hours at the earliest, while a reduction applies immediately. Stödlinjen, the national gambling helpline, can be reached on 020-819 100 and at stodlinjen.se.
How to compare Mr Green and the 888 sites
- Check which company is named in the footer – Mr Green Limited or 888 Sweden Limited.
- Find out whether two sites share a licence holder, because then they also share the welcome bonus.
- Compare what has to be wagered, how many times and within what period.
- Check the payment methods. Credit cards may not be used for gambling since 1 May 2026.
- Look at limits, self-tests and break features before you deposit money.
You can always check licence holders and websites in the Spelinspektionen register of licences, which lists every company with a valid licence together with its websites.
Compare with other groups
At evoke several sites share one licence, while other groups have chosen the opposite model. A clear example is the LeoVegas sister sites, where four brands are run by four different companies.
