Casino sister sites 2026
Casino sister sites are Swedish casinos that are owned by the same group but have different names and looks. Here we bring together the sister sites we have mapped on the Swedish market: who owns the brand, which licence holder the site operates under and which other sites belong to the same family. The information was checked in October 2026.
Think of this page as a starting point. Begin with a casino you already know, and you will see which sister sites it has and what sets them apart. Each brand also has its own page with more on licences, the bonus rule and Spelpaus.
What counts as a sister site?
A sister site is a casino with the same owner as another casino. Usually it is a group running several brands side by side. The brands may have different profiles – one focused on sport, one on slots, one with a tone all of its own – but the owner is the same.
So it is ownership that makes two sites sister sites, not design or game selection. Two casinos with almost identical games can be competitors, while two sites that look nothing alike can share an owner. You cannot tell by looking at the site. What you need to know is which licence holder and which group stand behind it. Sometimes the link is obvious from the name, but just as often it only appears in the footer or in a press release.
Sister sites, sister casinos and casinos with the same owner
The terms are used interchangeably. If you search for “sister casinos” or “casinos with the same owner”, it is the same thing. Here we consistently use the term sister sites, meaning brands with a Swedish licence that belong to the same group, even when they are run by different licence holders.
The licence holder tells you more than the group
Behind every casino with a Swedish licence is a licence holder, the legal entity that has been granted the licence by Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority. The group owns the licence holder, but it is the licence holder that is responsible for the gambling, the terms and contact with the authority. The company’s name must be shown on the casino’s website.
Most groups on the Swedish market now give each brand its own licence holder. That is the case at LeoVegas Group, Betsson AB and ComeOn Group, and since the reorganisation in 2025–2026 also at FDJ United. The exception in our mapping is the 888 sites within evoke, which according to a decision by Spelinspektionen are run by one and the same company, 888 Sweden Limited.
Nor can a licence be moved freely. According to trade media, a Swedish licence cannot be transferred between companies, not even within the same group. When Unibet changed licence holder in October 2025, the old accounts were closed and players had to register again. How the structure fits together is explained in our guide what are sister sites.
What sister sites have in common – and what differs
What they always have in common is the owner. The group decides on strategy, management and how responsible gambling work is organised, so sister sites often share a similar basic approach even when the brands look different. Sometimes the link also shows in the details. Otto Casino, for example, does not mention the group in its footer, but its help centre is hosted by Kindred, which is now part of FDJ United.
What differs is often what affects you most directly. The licence holder may be a different one, and then the account is different too: you register separately, set your own limits and accept separate terms. Bonus offers, game selection and payment methods can vary between the sites. So never assume that what applies at one casino automatically applies at its sister sites.
- Usually shared: owner, management, group policies and sometimes the way customer service is organised.
- Often different: licence holder, account, terms, welcome bonus and profile.
The bonus rule at sister sites
Under Chapter 14, Section 9 of Spellagen (the Gambling Act), a bonus may only be given the first time a player plays any of the licence holder’s games. The key word is licence holder. The rule applies per licence holder – not per site and not per group.
That gives two different situations. If two sister sites have the same licence holder, like 888casino and 888sport, they share one single welcome bonus. If you have played at one, you should not get a new bonus at the other. If the sister sites instead each have their own licence holder, like Unibet and Maria Casino, both may offer a welcome bonus.
We have found neither any specific guidance from Spelinspektionen nor any court ruling on how the rule applies across several brands. So always read the bonus terms at the individual casino. Terms and conditions apply.
Bear in mind, too, that a permitted bonus is not the same as a good bonus. Every offer has its own wagering requirements (omsättningskrav) and time limits, and several bonuses at once mean more terms to keep track of and more money in play.
Spelpaus and limits at sister sites
Spelpaus.se, the national self-exclusion register, works at a different level from the bonus rule. An exclusion applies at every gambling company with a Swedish licence, so it cannot be bypassed by switching to a sister site. You choose between 10 days, one, three or six months, or until further notice, and the exclusion cannot be ended early.
Deposit limits and the company’s own self-exclusion, however, are tied to each gambling company. If you have accounts on two sister sites with different licence holders, you therefore need to set limits at both. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately, but an increase has to wait at least 72 hours.
If you only want to take a break from a single gambling company, you can use that company’s own self-exclusion, for a set period or until further notice. Online casinos must also offer a 24-hour break that takes effect immediately. That break only applies at that particular company, so sister sites with other licence holders are not affected. For an exclusion from all licensed companies, Spelpaus is what you need.
Overview of casino sister sites in Sweden
The table shows the seven casinos that have their own page here, which group they belong to, which licence holder they operate under and which Swedish sister sites they have. Confirmed licence numbers are given on each page. If you want to check a detail yourself, every company with a valid licence is listed in the Spelinspektionen licence register.

The owners behind the brands are presented in more detail under casino networks, where you will also find changes of ownership and decisions by Spelinspektionen for each group.
Three examples that show the differences
FDJ United, formerly Kindred, has rebuilt its entire Swedish structure. Until 2025 the group’s sites shared one licence holder; today each brand has its own. How this affects Unibet and its sister sites is covered on the page about Unibet’s sister sites.
ComeOn Group is behind ComeOn, Snabbare, Hajper, Lyllo Casino and Casinostugan, and according to Gambling Insider also Reviant, which launched in April 2026. All of them have their own licence holders. More about the family can be found under the sister sites of Snabbare.
Casumo is the opposite. The company is privately owned, has a single Swedish brand and has no sister sites in Sweden. Why we still have a page about it is explained under Casumo as an independent casino.
When the owner changes
The map of sister sites is not static. LeoVegas Group has been owned by the American MGM Resorts since 2022, and evoke – formerly 888 Holdings – has approved a takeover by Bally’s Intralot that in September 2026 was still awaiting regulatory approval. Within Betsson AB, according to trade media, the Swedish casino business was moved to a new licence holder at the end of September 2026.
A change of owner does not change your rights as a player in Sweden, because the same rules apply to everyone with a Swedish licence. But if the site changes licence holder, you may need to register again, accept new terms and set your limits again. We update the pages when this happens.
How to compare the sister sites
Finding casino sister sites is only the first step. When you are choosing between two casinos that turn out to have the same owner, there are a few things worth going through before you register:
- Find the licence holder’s name at the bottom of each site.
- Compare the licence holders. The same company means one shared welcome bonus and the same responsible company.
- Read the bonus terms: wagering requirements, time limit and which games count.
- Check the payment methods. Credit cards must be blocked, because gambling on credit has been banned since 1 May 2026.
- See whether the licence holder has received decisions from Spelinspektionen.
- Decide on your limits before you start playing – they are set per gambling company.
Gambling for money should be entertainment. If it no longer feels that way, you can exclude yourself via Spelpaus.se or call Stödlinjen, the national gambling helpline, on 020-819 100 for advice and support.

How do I know if two casinos are sister sites?
Look at the licence holder named on the casino’s website and find out which group owns it. If two sites have the same owner they are sister sites, even if they look completely different.
Can you get a bonus on every sister site?
The bonus rule in the Swedish Gambling Act applies per licence holder. Sister sites with the same licence holder share one welcome bonus, while sister sites with their own licence holders can each offer one. Always read the casino’s terms.
Does my Spelpaus exclusion also cover the sister sites?
Yes. Spelpaus covers every gambling company with a Swedish licence, so the exclusion applies at the sister sites just as at all other licensed casinos.
Do I need to set new deposit limits on a sister site?
Yes, if the site has a different licence holder. Deposit limits are set with each gambling company separately, per day, week and month.
Do all casinos have sister sites?
No. Casumo is an example of an independent gambling company with a single Swedish brand and no sister sites in Sweden.
