LeoVegas sister sites

Behind LeoVegas is LeoVegas Group, part of the American MGM Resorts International since 2022. In Sweden the group has four licensed brands: LeoVegas, GoGoCasino, Expekt and BetMGM. The last three are what count today as the LeoVegas sister sites on the Swedish market.
The most important thing to know is that the four sites are run by four different companies, each with its own licence from Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority. The brands share an owner but not a licence holder – and it is the licence holder that determines how the bonus rule, your accounts and your gambling limits work. Here we go through who is behind each site, what sets them apart and how to compare them sensibly.
Brands in the same group as LeoVegas
The table shows the group’s Swedish brands in October 2026. The details of licence holders and validity come from decisions by Spelinspektionen and from the sites’ own footers.
| Brand | Licence holder | Licence number | Licence valid until | Shares licence with |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LeoVegas | Roar Vegas Ltd | 23Si808 | 27 November 2028 | None |
| GoGoCasino | Gazelle Co. Limited | See the Spelinspektionen licence register | 31 October 2028 (online gambling) | None |
| Expekt | LeoEx Ltd | 23Si807 (according to expekt.se) | 4 December 2028 | None |
| BetMGM | MGMNordic Ltd | 24Si1633 | 15 October 2029 | None |
We have only seen the licence number for GoGoCasino in secondary sources, so there we refer to the register instead of printing it.
Two names that often appear in older lists of casinos like LeoVegas are Royal Panda and Pinatacasino. We have found nothing showing that they hold a Swedish licence today, and they were not among the group’s Swedish brands when BetMGM launched here in autumn 2024. That is why they are not in the table.
Owner and background
LeoVegas was founded in 2011 and was previously listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. In September 2022 MGM Resorts completed its takeover offer of 61 kronor per share, and the company was then delisted. The group still has its head office in Stockholm and an operations organisation in Malta.
Under MGM the group has broadened its presence in Sweden. BetMGM, which carries the parent company’s name, launched in October 2024 under a company of its own. The same year MGM bought the sports betting technology Tiger from Tipico, and on 15 April 2026 the Tiger sportsbook launched on GoGoCasino as the group received a new Swedish licence. Expekt is marketed as the “new Expekt” and is described in the trade press mainly as a sports betting brand.
In March 2025 Spelinspektionen gave Roar Vegas Ltd, the company behind LeoVegas, a remark and a financial penalty of 8 million kronor with reference to the duty of care. The decision was later overturned by the administrative court. Ownership history, supervisory decisions and all the group’s licences are gathered on the page about the LeoVegas Group casino network.
What LeoVegas sister sites share and where they differ
What the sites share is above all the owner and the overall direction from group management. We have seen no information suggesting that one account works across several of the sites. Since each brand has its own licence holder, you should expect to register separately, with electronic ID, at each one.
The differences are bigger than many people think when they look for sites similar to LeoVegas:
- Licence holder: four companies and four licences, which means separate terms, separate customer accounts and separate gambling limits.
- Focus: LeoVegas and BetMGM are licensed for both online gambling and betting, Expekt is positioned towards sport, and GoGoCasino only got a sportsbook in 2026.
- Bonus terms: each company sets its own wagering requirements, time limits and game contributions.
- Responsible gambling tools: according to the site, LeoVegas uses its own self-test, LeoSafePlay. Every licence holder must offer a self-test, but the design differs between the sites.
The bonus rule and LeoVegas sister sites
The bonus rule in Chapter 14, Section 9 of Spellagen (the Gambling Act) is aimed at the licence holder: a bonus may only be given the first time you play any of that particular company’s games. The group plays no part in this.
For LeoVegas Group, this means that Roar Vegas, Gazelle Co., LeoEx and MGMNordic each count separately. Having received a welcome bonus at LeoVegas does not in itself stop Expekt or BetMGM from offering you theirs. Within each company, however, the rule applies in full, and LeoVegas’s own terms state that the offer is given once.
The LeoVegas casino offer shows how different the terms can be even within the same group. There it is the deposit, not the bonus, that must be wagered ten times in the casino within 60 days before the bonus is paid out. If you deposit 1,000 kr, you therefore need to play for 10,000 kr, and many games count only partly or not at all. Offer checked on 15 October 2026. Terms and conditions apply.
How the rule has been interpreted by Spelinspektionen and the courts is covered in our guide to bonus rules in Sweden. A bonus is a conditional offer and not something to count on in advance. Choose a site on its terms and tools rather than on the size of the bonus.
Spelpaus and limits at the sister sites
Spelpaus, the national self-exclusion register, applies to every gambling company with a Swedish licence and therefore to all four brands in the group. The periods are 10 days, 1, 3 or 6 months, and until further notice. No period can be cut short, and an exclusion until further notice can only be ended after at least 12 months.
If you exclude yourself through LeoVegas’s own feature, it applies at that licence holder, not automatically at Expekt, GoGoCasino or BetMGM. If you want to pause your gambling across the whole group, and at all other Swedish gambling companies at the same time, Spelpaus is the right tool.
Deposit limits work the same way. Every licence holder must ask you to set a limit per day, week and month, so four accounts mean four separate limits. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately, and an increase comes into force 72 hours later at the earliest. Stödlinjen, the national gambling helpline, answers on 020-819 100, and you can chat at stodlinjen.se.
How to compare LeoVegas sister sites
Use the same questions for all four sites and the comparison will be fair:
- Which company is named in the footer, and does it match the licence register?
- What has to be wagered – the deposit, the bonus or both – and how many times?
- Which games contribute to the wagering, and by how much?
- Which payment methods are available? Credit cards may not be used for gambling since 1 May 2026.
- Which limits, self-tests and break features does the site offer, and how easy are they to find?
The safest way to confirm a licence is to search the Spelinspektionen licence register, where every company with a valid licence is listed together with the websites the licence covers.
More groups and sister sites
LeoVegas Group is a clear example of a group where each brand has its own company. If you want to see how another major operator has organised its licences, compare it with Unibet’s sister sites in Sweden, where all the brands moved to their own licence holders during 2025 and 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Which are the LeoVegas sister sites in Sweden?
GoGoCasino, Expekt and BetMGM belong to the same group as LeoVegas, LeoVegas Group. All four have a Swedish licence, but each brand is run by its own company.
Can I get a welcome bonus at several LeoVegas sister sites?
The bonus rule applies per licence holder, and the group’s Swedish brands have four different licence holders. A bonus at LeoVegas therefore does not in itself prevent a bonus at, for example, BetMGM. Always read the terms at each site.
Does Spelpaus cover all LeoVegas sites?
Yes. Spelpaus covers every gambling company with a Swedish licence, including LeoVegas, GoGoCasino, Expekt and BetMGM. An exclusion through an individual site’s own feature, however, only applies at that company.
Who owns LeoVegas?
MGM Resorts International has owned LeoVegas Group since 2022. After the takeover, LeoVegas was delisted from Nasdaq Stockholm.
Is Royal Panda a Swedish LeoVegas site?
We have found nothing showing that Royal Panda holds a Swedish licence today. The brand is not named among the group’s Swedish sites, and you should only play with companies listed in the licence register of Spelinspektionen.
