Betsson sister sites: brands in the same group

The licence holders below come from decisions by Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority, and from the trade press. We have only seen the group’s licence numbers on other comparison sites, so we do not print them.

For Jalla Casino we have no decision from Spelinspektionen that names Auto Nordic Ltd; the information is based on other sources that agree with each other. NordicBet and Betsafe, on the other hand, are named together with their companies in decisions by Spelinspektionen at the end of 2025.

Several names that are usually mentioned among casinos like Betsson are missing from the table. We have not found CasinoEuro, Spelklubben, Loki or Thrills as licensed Swedish brands today. Racebets, StarCasino and Rizk appear among the group’s brands in the annual report, but we have no information that they hold a Swedish licence. The closure of Casino Winner was reported by the trade press in January 2023.

Owner and background

Betsson AB (publ) has its registered office in Stockholm, but the business is run from its head office in Malta. The share is traded on Nasdaq Stockholm Large Cap, and we have not found any change of ownership in the company during 2022–2026. The group’s roots go back to 1963 and AB Restaurang Rouletter, later Cherry.

Two supervisory decisions from recent years concern the group’s Swedish companies. In May 2025 Betsson Nordic Ltd received a warning and a financial penalty of 6.5 million kronor for shortcomings in customer due diligence under the anti-money laundering rules; according to the trade press, the administrative court rejected the appeal in July 2026. In November 2025 BS Nordic Ltd, the company behind Betsafe, received a remark and an order concerning the information on its website, with no penalty. What they share and where they differ

The licence change in autumn 2026

According to the trade press, Spin Nordic Ltd received its licence on 24 August 2026 and took over betsson.com/sv on 30 September. Existing accounts were closed and players had to register again, because a Swedish licence cannot be moved between two companies. The previous company, Betsson Nordic Ltd, still holds licences that are valid until 31 December 2028.

Some things are still unclear. Spin Nordic is not mentioned in Betsson’s annual report for 2025, but it has the same address in Ta’ Xbiex, Malta, as Betsson Nordic. The sources also disagree on which forms of gambling the new licence covers, and it has not been established whether Betsson’s sports betting is now run by Spin Nordic or Betsson Nordic. Since the change, Swedish players have also criticised a new clause in the terms that lets Betsson restrict or refuse play for any reason.

What the sister sites share and do not share

What they have in common is the owner and the base in Malta, where the companies behind Betsson, NordicBet and Betsafe are registered in Ta’ Xbiex. What differs is the licence holder, and with it the customer account, the terms and the gambling limits. Anyone looking for sites similar to Betsson should therefore see them as four separate gambling companies with the same owner.

The bonus rule and Betsson’s sister sites

Under Chapter 14, Section 9 of Spellagen (the Gambling Act), a bonus may only be given on the first occasion of play with a licence holder. Since Betsson’s four Swedish brands each have their own licence holder, each one can offer its own welcome bonus.

It has not always looked like this. In 2018 Betsson received a licence covering Betsson, NordicBet and SverigeAutomaten. Under that arrangement, a bonus on one of the sites would in principle have closed the door to a new bonus on the others. That arrangement no longer applies. How the bonus question can end badly for a company is shown by NGG Nordic, which in 2019 received a financial penalty of 19 million kronor for repeated bonuses.

We do not state Betsson’s current welcome offer here, because we have not been able to confirm the terms after the licence change. See the current terms at the casino. If you have previously received a bonus at Betsson Nordic, it is the terms at Spin Nordic that decide what applies now.

Spelpaus and limits at the sister sites

Spelpaus, the national self-exclusion register, covers every gambling company with a Swedish licence, and therefore all four brands, including Spin Nordic as a new company. You choose 10 days, 1, 3 or 6 months, or until further notice. The exclusion cannot be undone, and an exclusion until further notice can be ended after 12 months at the earliest.

Every licence holder must ask you to set a deposit limit per day, week and month. With four companies that makes four limits, and after the licence change you need to set a new limit on your new Betsson account. If you want to raise a limit, you have to wait at least 72 hours. How to compare Betsson’s sister sites

1. Read the footer and check which company you are actually becoming a customer of.
2. Read the general terms, not just the bonus terms – especially clauses about restricted stakes.
3. Compare wagering requirements, maximum stake and validity period before accepting a bonus.
4. Check the payment methods. Credit cards may not be used for gambling since 1 May 2026.

Since several details about the group are based on secondary sources, it is especially important to check the licence yourself in the licence register at Spelinspektionen before you register.

More sister sites with new licence holders

Betsson is not alone in having changed company for a Swedish site. The same thing happened when Unibet and its sister sites got their own licence holders during 2025 and 2026, with all players having to re-register as a result.
